OurHistory
In the early 1980’s, our aunt and uncle, decided to turn a run-down “restaurant” into something much more profitable. They started to create a comfortable environment and simple Cambodian dishes for the community to enjoy. During that time, this facility was small. People started to call it “The Shack.” Only 5 tables were available and it was hard to move around. The buzz started to grow and during the late 1980’s this restaurant became well known in the Asian community. During our aunt and uncle’s management, they developed a friendly environment and a foundation for their family. In the mid 1990s, my oldest brother took over the family business. Under his management, he expanded the restaurant and re-named it Phnom Penh Noodle (PPN). His main focus was to attract more customers by providing great service and good food with the traditions my aunt and uncle left behind. In October of 2012, PPN interior design becomes modernized. Because of the new renovation, we (The Tan Family) have developed a new logo and decided to rename Phnom Penh Noodle to Phnom Penh Noodle Shack (PPNS). This is a start of a new beginning. Opened Since 1985.
